Happenstance Review

                                                                               4☆ 3🔥 This one from Tessa Bailey was so cute! It’s one I didn’t know I needed in my collection until I read it.. Most of Tessa’s writing that I’ve read have been slow burn.. Not this one.. This one is spicy almost near the beginning.. I loved her inspiration with her first reverse harem and I can’t wait to see what she does next!!  Elise meets Gabe, Tobias, Banks and wow do sparks fly between for four of them.. The way she changes them as well as they change her.. I loved the little bit of mystery that Tessa added into the mix as well.. My only complaint is that it was too short!!😂😂  I know. I know. What a stupid complaint.. But I really do wish there was more already lol.. I can’t even count the times I laughed in this book.. It was so good!! Until next time, Elizabeth

Midnight Mayhem Review {Spoiler free}

  First before I start off my review I just want everyone to know I won’t be posting any spoilers! I feel like this series NEEDS to be read to get all the feels and emotions! Only thing I will say is that it’s a dark romance. And the stories will fuck with your head!😂😂 But in the best way in my opinion!! Wow, it’s all I can say! This is the third series I’ve read by Amo Jones and I become a bigger fan the more I read from her.. Her writing is just amazing! Her stories will fuck with your feelings and mind and I love ALL of her twist and turns! You go in THINKING you know how the story is going to end, and then she throws you for a loop with a twist no one saw coming!!  This series is perfection like her other two series I’ve read (Elite King’s Club, Crowned Duet) and I can’t wait to read more by her!! If you haven’t picked up one of her books, you definitely should!! Until next time, Elizabeth

Trope Tuesday

 I thought we should start off our first Tuesday with a favorite trope.. I’ll try and continue it each week.. So if you have a favorite trope let me know in the comments! Our first trope is Enemies To Lovers!!! I am a HUGE sucker for enemies to lovers! Like I LIVE for enemies to lovers lol!! The way they go from hating to loving each other gets me every time! I’ve got pictured just 5 of my FAVORITES! I have MANY more favorites but just wanted to go with my top 5 (even though 2 are technically a duo).  Pictured: This is War & This Is Love by Kennedy Fox.  Now when I tell you I love this duet, I mean I fucking love this duet!! This story is spicy and will leave your heart pounding at the end of book 1! This was also my first book to read from Kennedy Fox and I now own EVERY SINGLE book they’ve written! (Now I know they are no longer writing as a duo BUT all of their books will still be available so don’t worry about that.. You can still purchase all of them.) 5 Rounds by Nikki Castle

The Fine Print Review

*This is an in depth review, May contain spoilers* 4/5★ 3/5🔥  Good morning! I finished my first book from Lauren Asher on Friday and I enjoyed it! This is book 1 in the Dreamland Billionaires series. Whoa Rowan, I loved him. He was the definition of a “broken boy” and I loved how Zahra helped him find his passion again for art.. Now what I didn’t like was his constant lying and trying to justify his actions. He felt like he didn’t ever do anything wrong and it costed him his relationship and trust with Zahra over and over again.. I felt that it might’ve been too long after their first argument BUT then everything just started falling into place and I loved the rest of the book.. I did only give this one a 4 star because of the unnecessary conflict.. I’m all for conflict or disagreements but I just felt it was a little over done IMO 😒 Now the spice, I was pretty surprised by the spice! I wasn’t expecting Rowan and Zahra to be so fiery in their intimate relationship.. But I guess I sho

Southern Wedding Series Review

*In depth review and does contain spoiler.* 5/5★ 4/5🔥 I thought I'd start off my first review on the blog to be my recent series I finished on my Kindle.. I absolutely loved this series so much! Each month I've been trying to find a new author to try. This month being that it is February I thought why not try Natasha Madison out..  The Southern Wedding series start out with Travis and Harlow. We get a short novella that's only available in ebook form.. They meet in college and they fall in love. Travis doesn't want Harlow to choose between her family or him and that ultimately breaks them apart for 4 years.. Mine To Have picks up 4 years after Mine To Kiss leaves off.. Harlow is invited to Travis' wedding and she thinks he's the one that invited her because of the promise she made to him in college. I really loved Travis and Harlow's story. The second chance for the two of them were so good. The banter between the siblings had me laughing so hard throughout

Welcome!

Hello. Welcome to my blog Liz Reads Romance. I am so glad you’re here and hope you stay for all my reviews, book mail, etc.. I thought I’d do a intro post as my first post.. I’m Elizabeth. I’m happily married to my best friend for almost 8 years! (Wow doesn’t feel like it’s been that long!) I’m a mama to two littles (6 & 3) and I’m obsessed with reading!! Which shouldn’t be a surprise since this is a book blog lol..  I started reading BIG time again when Covid shut everything down back in 2020.. I needed something that I could do in my free time that helped with my anxiety.. And reading helped that immensely! Since then my genre has changed and grown. I started out with Historical Romance (still love btw) some were spicy but most were fade to black lol.. Since I’ve discovered my love for contemporary and dark romances! I first dipped into the contemporary world when I discovered  Kennedy Fox  on Tik Tok. I quickly ordered This Is War & This Is Love from their shop and fell in l
